Following on the heals of his fourth solo album and live release 'I Believe', 'Diary Of A Psalmist' is again a typical Marvin release. But what does that mean? Mr Sapp is all about ministry - from the time he opens his mouth he just loves to praise God, using song as his medium. His velvety tone seems to glide through every track whether it be the up tempo piano-driven opener of "One Thing" or acknowledgement of God's greatness in "You Are God Alone". It is an album with considerable passion. The simply written "Hallelujah" is just that - simply written - but one that exudes a powerful anthem of worship before the creator. 'Diary Of A Psalmist' offers a mix of both up tempo and mid tempo tracks and will definitely appeal to fans of another one time member of Commissioned, Fred Hammond. Top marks for the vocal clarity of the recording.

Product Description
'Marvellous Marvin' could easily be an applied term to this super male vocalist. Marvin Sapp has certainly carved his own furrow since his days as a member of the now legendary Commissioned line up, which included Fred Hammond. 'Diary of a Psalmist' superbly balances the fine line between praise & worship and the urban contemporary genre. Great background vocals help you to sing along to easy-to-learn choruses. A powerful, meaningful selection of originally written songs reflecting the passion of honouring and praising God.
