This utilises the talents of Chris Falson, an Aussie now resident in the USA. This album features an impressive line up of players and singers, including New Zealander Steve Apirana (who deserves more recognition in the UK), whose lead vocal on the opening track "Shine Down On Me" sets the pace for an impressive collection of songs. The highlights of the collection for me are "All Things", "Pure Joy" and "Jesus Reigns" which has the sort of melody line that sends shivers down your back! This is an album that grows with each play, leaving your head swimming with its hooklines and melodies. Yes, to coin a phrase, it's 'Pure Joy'! One nice touch to note is the inclusion of the chord symbols on the sleeve lyric sheet, which allows immediate access to the songs for musicians.
