The Maranatha Music Factory production line just keeps trundling along with this volume. Modern American worship music does not always travel that well and 'Praise 17' barely survives the voyage across the Atlantic. It is burdened by distinctly average songwriting and the sort of lush, plush overproduction which may satisfy American ears but to us Brits unintentionally suggests an air of insincerity. Even the customary appearance of Maranatha stalwart, Kelly Willard cannot rescue it from mediocrity.
