These four American sisters Havilah, Heather, Abigail and Tabitha, play various arrangements of violins with bodhrans with the occasional acoustic guitar or viola for good measure in a manner that is authentically Celtic. It is only the rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" and the love of the "ol' Rocky Top, down in the Tennessee Hills" that transports the Shamrock to a far-away land. Other songs tackled are Michael Card's "Irish Blessing" and the hymn "Jesus, Lover Of My Soul". Unfortunately, the majority of the album contains what sounds like recordings of improvised jam sessions, with virtually no discernable song structure other than occasional lyrics. Several tracks have a theme of perpetual motion ("Waves Of The Wind", "Dancing Waves Medley" and "Friesians Winds" (which I hope has nothing to do with dairy cows) but despite all the céilidh-like energy, solid musicianship and the sense of fun generated by the girls playing together, the fact remains that they forgot to write any memorable songs.
