Following the success of this Californian blues band's 2006 tour of Russia comes a combined CD and DVD release that has the vibrancy vital to sharing the gift of eternal life. The DVD documents five concerts and the relationships built during their evangelistic tour of the city of Lipestk, Russia. The restrictions on evangelism in Russia are well explained at the beginning of the film resulting in a continual excitement throughout the film regarding whether the band are going to get arrested. The blues are used to lift the repressed sorrow of the Russian people, whilst the band is surrounded by policemen and officials threatening to pull the plug if Jesus is mentioned. The lead vocalist and guitarist of Machaira, Jon Brown, is highly admirable in sharing the Gospel via a translator under such threatening circumstances. The CD 'Show Me The Way' is a compilation of Jon's songs in a classic blues rock style that feature in the DVD. The lyrical comparison between the need of good working brakes on a car with the need for a Saviour is not a parable most are familiar with, but the rocking blues guitar solos would give the Rolling Stones a run for their money.
