The Flevo Festival in Holland seems to be the place where albums of South Africa's MIC get released. It was not only their EP 'Stories Of A Dry Land' last year, but also their new maxi single "Superhuman" this year. In Holland 'Stories..' Got to number one in the Christian charts and the new single seems to be going the same way. That's not amazing because "Superhuman" is great! It features three mixes of "Superhuman"; an album mix an extended mix and a club mix. This track features commercial techno dance and tells about everyone being a "super human", "'cause God is living inside of me." Musically, it can be compared with their "tra la la" track "Catch Me" from 'Stories..'. But MIC irrefutably made an advance with this track as it sounds more mature which also comes out in the live shows. There is also a forth track on the single called "Pretend" with vocals by Quinton Delport, one of the new members of MIC. This track has a more ambient feel, combined with a guitar sound guested by Rob Warren, a guitarist/singer who has his own CD out but who toured with MIC through the UK and Holland. Look out for the new album next year!
