South Africa's MIC are probably one of the most underrated pop bands on the CMC scene. This is a quality funky pop album that combines rap and R&B rhythms all produced by the legend that is Zarc Porter. Need I say more? "Get Up" is a party song to get things started followed by the excellent "Sake Of Love" of which there is a bonus remix at the end of the album with a useful piece of advice, "Pride is the killer, makes no one a winner." The album continues with singable hooks and plenty of party songs. "Then He Came" is a more gentle song with thought provoking lyrics. "Sin City" is the only song that does not work for me. There is also another remix of the song "Heaven" and also two songs by a group called The Captain and another by Steve Solo which are good. MIC are musical evangelists with a passion to reach this generation in the same vein as The Tribe did. This album will aid them in that mission.
