Apart from the wince-inducing title, this is one of the best yuletide projects you're likely to hear this year. If you've a particular taste for Latin pop and/or have already been blown away by "Shine Brighter" and "Que Todo Mundo Sepa", the infectious Cross Rhythms radio hits from MARi's debut full length album, you're going to enjoy this infectious followup. OK, I know an EP of such over-recorded Christmas songs as "Mary Did You Know", "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "Oh Christmas Tree" may sound like it's going to be one of those lazy holiday season cash-ins that many artists indulge in, but MARi's voice is great - like a cross between Jaci Velasquez and Mary J Blige (if you can imagine that). The five songs here take on a new dimension by MARi singing most of them in Spanish and the production/arrangements are top rate ranging from pure pop to hip-shaking salsa. And the killer cut is a fast disco version of "Feliz Navidad" which you'll be hearing on CR radio this Christmas. Ho ho ho.
