This third solo album of Phatfish frontwoman Lou Fellingham will definitely reward those who have patiently waited since her previous album 'Promised Land'. The title track is genuinely encouraging and invites to a life of freedom in God, liberated from fear and guilt, while braiding a good strand of playful rock into the melody. "Christ In Me" develops from a calm devotional song into a rich, dynamic sweep of sound. It immediately refreshes and renews the spirit, making it my personal favourite from this album. Alongside the skilled songwriting and Lou's tenderly expressive singing there is top rate musicianship with deft contributions from Amy Winehouse's drummer Troy Miller and tasty guitar licks from one time Delirious? man Stu G. Even in a scene awash with worship albums, 'Step Into The Light' stands out.
