Living Fire started up in 2005 solely as an evangelistic project in Sao Paulo (Brazil) without a fixed line-up. They are "street punk pastors" using punk-rock with old-school worship-styled lyrics to broadcast the message of the Christ. 'Dead To Sin' is their second album. The tracks vary from the surf rock/punk of "J.C.H.C.", to the worshipful "Desire Of The Deer" which features an unforgettably catchy vocal chorus. There is even an upbeat Christmas song "Let's Celebrate Christmas" as part of the package. Vocalist Luis Carlos offers an insight into his personal belief with "I Am An Old-Timer" with a lyric which is both humorous and sincere. The three bonus tracks "Jesus Is Not Dead", "Come With Us" and "I Want You Lord", recorded live during a vibrant show in Sao Paulo, prove Living Fire are outstanding live performers. 'Dead To Sin' shoehorns 16 tracks into 44 minutes of blistering paced punk and Oi! powered by passion and high octane energy. For those seeking punk with lyrics that are worship relevant, 'Dead To Sin' is near perfection.
