A few months before Hurricane Katrina devastated the city of New Orleans the prestigious House Of the Blues played host to a very special night of music. Neo-soul gospel artist Lisa McClendon has followed up her two critically acclaimed studio sets with a live album of tight atmospheric music. Backed by a full band and superb horn section, this ranges from the sweet soul of "But For Eternity" and "Right There" to the livelier, upbeat "Made" and the understated funk of "Uphold Me". There's even an 11-minute medley of the highlights from her last album 'Soul Music'. All of this is topped off by Lisa's incredible expressive voice. This is a very fine live set.
