This is Lindell's first album for a couple of years, is part of a two volume set and is recorded live with choir and rock band made up of some very talented session musicians. Lindell is best known, of course, for his worship leading during the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola during the '90s, but he is now a pastor in Nashville, where this session took place. A DVD of this performance is also available, disappointingly showing that the band don't look so exciting as they sound. However Lindell, who also plays keyboards, gives a captivating performance with strong and passionate vocal delivery. His voice has a gravely quality similar to Paul Rogers from Free, well suiting the rock styles chosen here. The songs are memorable, neatly structured and exhort the listener to join in. The subject matter is more varied than you would normally expect from a worship CD, without distracting from the main focus (Father God of course). For example, "More" is asking for just that; "Look My Way" is seeking the attention of Jesus; "It's Like Rivers" describes God's love when you're feeling spiritually dry. This is live worship of the highest quality in virtually every way: who cares if some band members look dull on the DVD: you're going to be closing your eyes a lot and imagining many far greater things while listening to this album!
