One of America's best loved worshippers has once again teamed up with Colby Wedgeworth to offer up an intuitive and highly polished album of co-written songs that praise God at every turn. The success of Brewster's latest work is that it is inherently worshipful without falling into the standard modern worship clichés and there is a general feel that he is attempting to break new ground in his chosen field. Throughout, Brewster betrays a keen pop sensibility which is reflected in the likes of the opener "Live To Praise You" which sounds as though it would be right at home in an arena of screaming One Direction fans as it would be in a church whilst the title track and slightly slower-paced but no less anthemic "On Our Side" continues in this vein. Brewster's classic pop vocals perfectly complement the lavish soundscape that he and Wedgeworth have put together whilst his considerable guitar chops frequently come to the fore with an occasional high performance solo slotted in for good measure. Slow burners like "Sinking Ships (Rescue Has Come)" - written at his wife's hospital bedside - and "Whole Again (Come Alive)" see a more intimate side to Brewster's faith and work whilst a thumping version of Tim Hughes' "Let It Be Known" rounds off another quality slice of praise from one of America's most experienced worship artists.
