My review copy came without sleeve which undoubtedly made this reviewer's work a bit more difficult - simple matters like who wrote the songs and who played the instruments! A bit of web investigation was required to establish that this is LB's third solo album on the Vertical label although he seems to have been involved in a wide variety of worship projects Stateside. Previous albums were well received and this well-balanced set showcases the further development of a major talent. Lincoln is undoubtedly a rocker at heart and lets his guitar chops loose on some tasty and diverse solos - most refreshing for a worship album! Check the biting rhythmic solo on "Let The Praises Ring" and contrast it with the silky smooth solo on "You Are The One". There are also some superb quieter moments from the stripped down acoustics of "Praises Be" to the tasty bass and wonderfully layered vocals of "All I Really Want". I am guessing that Lincoln penned most of the songs but he also does a great job on Martin Smith's "What A Friend I've Found". I can't recommend this album enough - high quality songs with scriptural lyrics, excellent musicianship and first class production. A couple of listens will have you searching out more of this talented young man of God.
