The latest EP from Manchester-based electro pop artist Lily-Jo sees the former LZ7 lead singer team up with Jake Isaac, OL Music, Philippa Hanna and Tom Read in the production and writing stakes and the result is an accomplished piece of work that goes much deeper than its breezy but expertly-pitched pop façade. Lily-Jo is also a mental health counsellor and therefore the thread of emotional wellbeing and self-esteem runs through this five-song collection with the likes of the striking "Beautiful Scars" and the Philippa Hanna co-write title track showcasing LJ's ability to get alongside her audience in empathetic fashion to offer up a message of love, acceptance and hope. Underpinning everything is the singer's Christian faith - most evident in the opener "Great Unknown" - and this, the spot-on electro pop feel of the EP and the singer's obvious vocal prowess make for a fine release from one of CCM's rising stars.
