Founder Justin Murr has spent the last 20 years persuading a variety of talented musicians, both Christian and non-Christian, to contribute their talents to a string of Liberty n' Justice albums in aid of an epilepsy charity. This, the latest offering, once again features some well known artists including Louis St August (Mass) and Jamie Rowe (Guardian) and stays true to the style of previous releases. Liberty n' Justice write songs full of hooks, big choruses and powerful vocals, all with a retro '80s feel. The title track that opens the album did however take me by surprise with its edgy current sound and driving drum track high in the mix. Vocals are a standout feature of the majority of this recording as a whole range of seasoned professionals open their pipes and deliver powerful performances. As stated the overall feel of the recording sits well in a previous era and to underline this, a version of Petra's "Thankful Heart" is included. At times however, the collective does become clichéd and references to the Die Hard films and the '70s toy Stretch Armstrong will be lost on younger listeners.
