The non-profit all boy vocal group directed by Robert Prizeman are one of the phenomena of the modern music industry. How an obscure ensemble from the Anglican parish of St Philip's, Norbury became international best sellers, wowing audiences with their delightful blend high church harmonies and pop arrangements, is an extraordinary tale. The latest ensemble to bear the Libera name are boys aged between seven and 14 and here there is a skilfully selected programme comprising of songs as diverse as plainsong and John Rutter. Wherever you listen there are some beautiful moments with Tom Gully's solo on "Ave Virgo" (based on the theme from "Clarinet Concerto" by Mozart), the ethereal sound of Rutter's "Gaelic Blessing" and Prizeman's own composition "Sanctissima", all making maximum impact. In its own way 'Peace' is a gem.
