Those doyens of 70s rock gospel Liberation Suite resurface with a crisp, Austin, Texas based, country/rock tinged brand of driving, rhythmic rock. Three of the original line-up reappear, supplemented by new boys on bass and keyboards. Howard Lyon is still a polished front man, forceful as ever. Harmony vocals still predominate, almost in the classic Eagles mode occasionally. Barry Bynum still produces hot country/rock guitar licks with the best. Aficionados of Austin rock a la Joe Ely or the better humour music of Steve Earle should board the next stagecoach to town to invite this album home. The band can caress a tender lyric, as on The Warming light', where Barry Bynum turns out a fine vocal on this ballad. Always a class act with a sharp evangelistic cutting edge, it's good to have Libsuite around again. Few Christian bands specialise in this very American sound, so snap it up if this is your music.
