Has anyone got any music of any Lens' songs
I will be makin a trip to aussie in march 2010 and will visit Queensland, does any one know where lens church is ?
I still have 5 or 6 Len Magee albums from the 70's. I loved all the music. The words touched you on every level. I used to sing them regularly. In fact I am singing Nativity in church at Christmas. Nobody seems to know it, but the words are amazing, and I'm sure will be a blessing and a challenge. I pray that people will trust the Lord through it. May god continue to bless you Len, and encourage you. Your music has stood the test of time.
OH MY, I GREW UP AS A YOUNG CHRISTIAN IN GUYANA SINGING LEN MAGEE SONGS AND TO THIS DAY LIVING IN THE UNITED STATES AND PASTORING A CHURCH. I AM AND WAS ALWAYS A BIG BIG LEN FAN. WOULD LOVE TO MEET HIM
I have two LP's of Len Magee and still play them ocasionally, Len has a good voice and his words and tunes are inspired, they always bring a blessing. I heard Len live at St Phillips cathederal in Birmingham UK in the 1970's, he appeared with "Big John Hall" and I remember Len cracking a little joke about David and Goliath, due to Big John's huge stature and Len being a little chap ! It was a great evening with two great singers.
I love "Only a prayer away" and still play it on my guitar and keyboard, I play it in "G". Everyone who hears it thinks it's a great song. Two other favouites of mine are "You can know" and "Walk with Jesus". I wish someone would publish a music and lyrics of Lens songs, they knock spots off many of the so- called "worship" songs of today which are mostly bland and boring.
Where can l find some samples of the music so l can tell which ones l would like to purchase? anyone know? l only find one actual sample but l loved the tone of it and would love to hear more. Someone please let me know. teri323@aol.com
Len, as a toddler, I remember your soft, rich voice from my father's record player back home in Nigeria. Throughout the years I've never really forgotten those songs in your album 'Love Is The Answer' (although it's been a while since I sang anyone). I'm in my 30s now, my father has gone to be with the Lord, and the albums we had are lost. But for some reason this morning I just woke up to the tune of 'What do you think of Jesus' and I thought of finding out about you and how I could get your songs again (if possible). I'm so grateful to know that your songs are still available. You are a blessing to my life! And just as my father did, I will play again those songs for my 1 year old son, Josh!
i've been very very blessed-got several len magee records as a gift; transfered to cassette.
keep checking e-bay.
wish god would clone magee, we need more like him.
Thanks for some beautiful, spiritual uplifting music.
I agree if it were possible to have Len cloned-wow, i think most christian artist out there would learn so much if they were introduced to Len's music.and also another great artist from the US called chuck girrard also from the early 70's, check out his website, you can buy his early albums on cd also, best buy is double cd -The Stand /spirit wind. this man like len has stood the test of time, God bless you, joseph
Seems like just yesterday we were rolling down the highway across Canada in our blue 12 passenger van belting out "The Ark" - are you in the ark, or are you outside. This song gave us the theme for our last family holiday across Canada in 1978. We fashioned a tire cover with a dove and even kept a chain letter going amongst family members for a few years titled the Ark notes. This song still sticks in my head and for some reason the Lord brought me to see it again, to remind me of His promises to Get in the Ark with Jesus! Thanks for being a part of so many people's histories. Would love to download the song but the website does not appear to be working right.
