Leeland's music is written by our generation for our generation and 'Opposite Way' is a challenge to the youth of today to live the opposite way to the world. Leeland's first album 'Sound Of Melodies' sold over 100,000 copies Stateside and garnered Grammy and Dove nominations (as well as being a hit in Japan!). Now comes this fine follow up. One critic wrote recently, "It's rare for something so accessible to be quite so advanced." Very true. Frontman Leeland Mooring writes eminently catchy hooks and sings in an attractively keening voice yet the arrangements are progressively inventive with guitars and keyboards interlocking in unexpectedly inventive ways. Equally impressive is the production from Matt Bronleewe (Michael W Smith, Natalie Imbruglia). There is pure talent here, wrapped up in five 19-24 year olds and this album is well worth a listen. Leeland are clearly following the words of the second track, "everyone has their own sound, there's nothing wrong with living loud. . .let it out now!"

Product Description
"This album is a call to our generation to passionately walk the ‘opposite way’ of the world; that it’s OK to live the Christian life and to be on fire for God, even if it makes us look different." - Leeland Mooring.
Leeland made their debut UK appearance at Frenzy 2007, creating a buzz which rippled out across the UK Christian music scene.
Fronting the enthusiastic five-piece Texas outfit is the gifted 19-year-old songwriter and charismatic performer Leeland Mooring. This unassuming, fresh-faced vocalist and guitar player writes with wisdom beyond his years.
He’s transparent in his love and gratitude to God and unflinching in his passion for reaching his generation for Christ. “So many kids are lost when it comes to having a true relationship with God, even ones who go to church,” Leeland says. “Whenever we play, our main goal is to be able to minister to our generation.”
Leeland’s debut album, released in 2006, was a great success with it's blend of emotional, majestic melodies constructed on rock influences.
