It goes almost without saying that with live releases and compilations of Larry's material vastly outnumbering proper bona fide studio albums that it is open to question whether another compilation is really required, especially in an age when many people can now compile and burn their own favourite tracks to CDR on their home PCs. Having side that, this latest compilation has a number of charming performances which raise a few smiles here and there as we see the lighter, more humourous side to Larry's writing and performing. Anyone who ever caught the Jesus music legend in concert will know that children held a special place in Larry's heart. A few overlooked Norman originals ("The Man From Galilee" and "Shake Your Rattle And Crawl") are revived and showcased with a handful of cover versions ("Jingle Bell Rock" and a reggae version of "Oil In My Lamp") as well as a few familiar early classics ("Moses In The Wilderness" and "Sweet Sweet Song Of Salvation"). These studio tracks rub shoulders with a few choice live cuts ("At The Circus", "Rachel And Me" and "The Wabbit And The Twain"). The overall result is a pleasant if un-essential journey through Larry's performances from across the decades which came from a child's perspective.
