Country/Southern gospel singer Kim Hopper is perhaps best known as one fifth of the Hoppers but this release sees her on a second solo outing. Co-produced in Nashville by Hopper and Dave Clark, this is a slick affair and top notch professionals such as Gaither keyboard player Gordon Mote and mandolin virtuoso Bryan Sutton have been employed to achieve a pleasing end product. Whilst the overall feel is most definitely country, Hopper keeps proceedings varied, flitting between the bluegrass of "What Will I Wear" to the Southern gospel of "Come Out Praising" which reflects the album's infectiously victorious tone. Elsewhere, Hopper showcases her substantial voice in the orchestral numbers "Gospel To The World" and "That Sounds Like Heaven To Me" whilst a version of Cindy Morgan's tender "Well Done Well Done" shows her ability to give a considered ballad performance. Occasionally, Hopper overdoes the schmaltz - most notably on her duet with husband Dean "The Woman In My Little Girl's Room" - and the otherwise enjoyable "The Devil Lost His Keys" unwisely crosses the line between proclaiming victory in Jesus to taunting the Devil. Nonetheless, a hugely enjoyable release from one of Southern gospel's most talented vocalists.
