After Kim's move to country music in 1994's 'So Far So Good', this is 40 minutes of "Classic Kim". Four tracks from both her self-titled debut and 'Talk About Life' and two from 1991 's 'Brave Heart' include some of her best tracks. "How can life be strong and yet so frail/What is the deeper meaning?", she asks in "Mysterious Ways", penned by Wayne Kirkpatrick. His lyrics and those of Wes King poetically address many of the issues faced in modern Christian life - vanity, relationships, faith versus logic, materialism. The reflective nature of these songs, contemporary yet rooted in Scripture, suit Kim's strong but gently intimate voice. This compilation explains Kim's success in the US and Britain, both in the recording studio and live on stage. A valuable addition to anyone's CCM collection.
