I still believe every Christian should own at least one Keith Green album and 'The Keith Green Collection' could be a good place to start. Originally released in 1981, it gives a better representation of Keith's talent but again still suffers the same tragic traffic accidents when it comes to mixing live tracks into studio versions. Aside from the tedious and pointless spoken introduction, you get 12 songs. As a starter to get acquainted with the man's music, this is okay because you get some classics ("How Can They Live Without Jesus", "Your Love Broke Through") but he deserves serious investigation and all the best songs are featured in the excellent 'Ministry Years' set of four CDs/tapes. That album is worth the extra investment because Keith Green still has a great deal to say to the 90s church.

Another ccm gemm on vinyl I have added to my Keith Green
collection. I really like the album cover for this
collection. A new song begins the 12 songset entitled
"Rushing Wind" followed by his top 70's smash that hurled
him into the ccm scene. I just love "You Put This Love In
My Heart" from first listen. 2 selections from last album
are included, one of my favorites "Grace By Which I Stand";
I missed not hearing top ccm song "I Want To Be More Like
Jesus" that included Kelly Willard on bgvs. Another top fave
and radio play was the 1978 song from No Compromise,
"How Can They Live Without Jesus". The top trio song
written hit with Todd Fishkind and ccm pioneer
Randy Stonehill couldn' t be left out of this collection:
"Until Your Love Broke Through". Also recorded by
Phil Keaggy in 1976 & Randy Stonehill in 1985.
Was kind'a hoping to see more other lp cuts, but instead, 3
new #'s were added, which is something well known today with
Best of/Greatest Hits collections. God bless, Don

More pure and loaded music you have to look for, perfect as
an armory when you fight the demonic powers in prayer and
worship. I become mooved every time to tears...
