Considering Northern Ireland's Kathryn has written a modern worship classic (millions around the globe have been blessed by her Vineyard anthem "Hungry"), this singing pastor is far from prolific. Her last recording was 2010's 'We Still Believe'. But now this EP brings to the fore one of the most powerful song communicators of her generation. Pride of place has to go to the title track, the opening line of which ("He makes me sing on the battlefield") came as a result of a prophetic vision and with its bridge built on Isaiah 60 it is a gem of a song. Almost as good is "We Still Believe", written after the loss of Kathryn's sister's baby. Its plaintive refrain "We still believe/We're still surrendering our hearts/Your faithfulness is our reward" is truly memorable. The track is helped by a guest appearance by Paul Baloche. In the past reviewers have compared Kathryn's voice with that of Norah Jones. Coupled to such powerful songs one has a truly exceptional modern worship EP.
