Millions watched Katelyn on American Idol Juniors and now the big push is underway to turn this talented teen into a bona fide CCM star. The 16 year old from Glennville, Georgia has certainly the looks while her voice is able to purr and swoop attractively on a set of snappy, effervescent songs which are pitched very much at a Jump5-type youth audience. It's all beautifully executed with "Rain" (with a snappy pop production from Gabriel Dorman and Tim Leitner), the pop rock "Something In Me" (penned and produced by Mattias Gustafsson) and the catchy title track written by Nashville reliable Scott Krippayne all sounding like they were made for pop radio. Will the big cash investment pay off for TC Music and Katelyn? I've no idea but no one should doubt the lass has enough talent to be around CCM for years if fickle Joe Public do embrace her to their collective hearts.
