For some strange reason Cross Rhythms has always lagged behind in following the output of this most gifted Londoner. This nine-song project is a follow-up to the experimental and mainly instrumental set 'Made Em On My Phone' and like its predecessor was recorded on the man's smartphone. Although 'Pltfrm Se7en' was released in June 2014, we never got a review copy until 2016 and it's only now getting the CR website once-over. Considering these delays, it seems quite appropriate to report that the tracks "Bouncin' Back" (with its simplistic but irritatingly catchy synth riff) and "All Hail The King" (with its shouted sample and its fluid flow - "he is not hiding, he's always guiding and providing") will be tracks heard when our X Rhythms visual radio station is launched. If you're even slower to catch up on the recording of Nova, who describes himself as an "emcee, singer, poet, blog junkie, freedom writer, truth seeker and truth speaker" than Cross Rhythms has been, this is a good place to start your underground hip-hop investigation.
