Deliverance mainman Jimmy P Brown II stretches out in a different direction to his normal speed/thrash/prog metal assault. Credited as Peter Braun, Brown attempts to revisit his roots in classic rock from the '60s and '70s. Proclaiming an approach of glam/space rock, it sounds to me like a mix of David Bowie fronting a 1980s Iron Maiden covers band, and '80s/'90s stadium rock. Even his cover of The Kink's 1964 hit "All Day And All Of The Night" sounds quite modern. The lyrics are relevant and interesting, but the songwriting just doesn't match them, I'm afraid. "Corporate Stiff" and "Passions" are too repetitive and fail to hold the interest. Second track "The Human Endeavour" has a strong message but musically fails to match up. Conversely, the melody of the title track is very strong but the vocal delivery is grating. Mr Brown/Braun reprises the title track in German as a thank you to his large German support, but this makes no real difference to the song. Fans of Deliverance may well find this intriguing at first, but it doesn't have the longevity to merit repeated listens.
