Coming from a blossoming career in Hollywood after having appeared in a variety of TV shows such as CSI:NY and Grey's Anatomy, Julie Elias has moved to recording and performing worship music after feeling that she wanted to do something with her life that really impacted others. 'Love Rain Down' is her first worship album and features many well-known worship songs such as Hillsong United's "Oceans", Jesus Culture's "Rooftops" and Chris Tomlin's "I Will Rise". A couple of the songs are self-penned including the title track, which has a solid pop feel and is sure to get your toes tapping. "God Be Lifted High In Me" was a pleasant surprise as it is a powerful yet touching re-working of the hymn "Take My Life" that works very well. Although being a relative newcomer on the Christian music scene, sounding like Christina Perri and Kelly Clarkson, Julie Elias is headed for big things. This album has been given the full Hollywood treatment and is excellently produced.
