Jules is a New Zealander who, on the evidence of this album inspired by The Book Of Revelation, is a good-ish singer/songwriter with a voice not dissimilar in texture and phrasing to a certain Cliff Richard. What tends to keep the interest level down on this album are arrangements and melodies which too closely resemble one another. Followers of Scottish praise man Ian White might wish to note Ian's appearance as a 'guest vocalist' on the jaunty "Alleluia Lamb Of God" while those looking for a musical exploration of Revelation which concentrates on the blessings and avoids all the weird-and-worshipful imagery like beasts with seven heads and ten horns and Great Harlots, might care to investigate this

Hi, this is Jules. For what it's worth, I have released 12 albums over 20+ years of fulltime music ministry. 'Revelation' is still my biggest selling album after all these years! It is still available thru my website.. just saying. Thx for your kind reviews! Jules Riding

"Revelation" song by Ridding is an excellent piece. it may not be so rated world class music experts (it need not be), but so classified by Word Cleansed Exlessia. I got a copy from a friend in 1996, and has treasured it ever. I need to get another copy, and more from Riddings. May the LORD continue to use this piece to keep Saints focused on the coming Kingdom in Jesus Name. Amen.

your casset made it possible for me to worship our LORD though the hardest times of my life. the tape of revelation by Julles Riding was my ever-thing, untill I played it so much It broke, along with my hart. I can't find a way to replace it, could you help me in my search.

I completely agree with Julie. The "interest level", like beauty, is obviously in the ear and spirit of the beholder. I originally bought the tape as well, but was fortunate enough to obtain the CD version about 10 years ago. Quite the contrary, the set of tracks are very complementary, with great transitions from one to the next. But what really grabs your attention is the riveting combination of Jules’ vocals, backup singers and instruments as selected portions of the book of Revelation are brought to life. The effect is nothing short of awe-inspiring wonder as I listen to the Word portrayed in new and dynamic way. Here it is nearly 20 years after first being released and this is a timeless classic. For those who haven't heard Jules Riding’s Revelation beg, borrow or buy a copy and listen for yourself.

I heartily disagree with your comment that tracks are similar. I thoroughly enjoyed this album and it really brings to life the verses used. Even though I have not listened to it for some time, I still recall the individual tunes for each theme/verse. As my tape is too old to play well now, I was just researching to see if it's available in CD, and noticed this critique.
