Recorded live at Alys Stephens Performing Arts Centre in Birmingham, Alabama and already a big hit Stateside, this is a lively and energetic two disc project. 'Celebrate the convergence of gospel, jazz, praise and worship and classical music!' is the exhortation from the back sleeve. From the off the undoubted professional production is apparent, pulling out all the stops whilst also effectively capturing the power and live sound of the full classical orchestra and large choir as the crowd whoops, cheers and applauds in response at every available occasion. Juanita Bynum's introductions and short stories encourage the congregation into vociferous participation building the euphoria before the choir fills the venue. Enhanced with two helpings of live footage, the talents of the two main performers are visually showcased during "One Night With The King" and "We Need You Lord" while also giving an insight into the sheer enormity and magnitude of the night's events.
