To quote from the notes, "There were no computers, samplers, drum machines or chords used on this recording. This record was made using a monophonic analogue synthesizer system and vocals only." This is definitely an all electronic CD apart from the vocals - not a guitar in earshot! I did not find it very accessible music to listen to, partly because of some of the synthesizer effects, and partly because of the oblique lyrics. Perhaps the most extreme example lyrically is a song that starts with "Greet me ice queen in spite favours once sung by ravers reared on newsboys learned in Hungarian.", it goes on in a similar way for about 200 words without a full stop! Musically, it is very '80s, with more than a touch of the new romantics in the style. Having said all that, I have to admit that I actually liked some of it! There are some really beautiful tunes, with echoes of early Genesis in the melodies. Let the buyer beware, this would definitely be a risk, but who knows, it might turn out to be a risk worth taking.
