The project’s title is inspired by 1 Peter 2:9, which proclaims that believers are “...a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation.” Percy Gray, Jr. (New Direction, Chicago Mass Choir) says that Joshua’s Troop members chose the title to underscore their passion to stand together as one for the Lord, against the destructive influences in their culture.
