Lancaster-based 'Joke Onojeghuo's debut release sees the worship leader, keyboardist, drummer and producer with nearly 20 years of music ministry experience stride between a number of different styles as she proclaims God's glory in this three track EP. First up is the tender title track which features co-producer Alan Gregson on guitar and showcases 'Joke's ability to write a competent worship song. Elsewhere, "Adupe" - a tribal expression of praise to God - reflects her time as a music director in various Nigerian churches in both style and lyrical content and reveals her obvious production and vocal skills. Despite its rather unimaginative "shoo-ba-doo-ba-doo" refrain, the slick reggae of "Africa Arise" - a stirring call for the continent to wake up and stand up for the Lord - rounds off a pleasing debut from a talented artist.
