John Nuttall, church elder and worship leader in Rochdale, lists this CD as a spare time project since he also trains teachers three days a week. However, the quality of the musicianship is excellent with production from Andy Green. Outwardly this is a set of gentle pop songs but it hides some subtly creative gems. "Joining With The Angels In Heaven" has a verse reminiscent of Boyzone (!) and is a well-crafted song. "Morning Glory", with vocals from Rachel Kitchenside, creates an ambient mood through the keyboard playing worthy of chillout worship. "Overshadow Me" blends the keyboards with guitar to create a mature sound that is more reflective; a sound echoed on "Fairest Lord Jesus". In this song we are encouraged to experience Jesus in the glory of creation. John's lyrics are Christ-centred and direct, praising God and finding peace in him ("I Find Peace"). The opening track "Come Let Us Worship Our God" is an interesting departure from the rest of the CD but doesn't quite hit the mark despite a strong refrain. "Look At All The Photographs" is a quieter song that ends with the heartfelt cry for God's touch. John has created an album that can touch the listener. Production costs have been kept to a minimum and there are full credits and an intentionally readable booklet of lyrics.
