If you're into spoken word meditation CDs you'll probably like this one. If you have difficult issues and problems in your life you'll find consoling words here, read in a contemplative ambiance. Many of the meditations here are in the form of blessings and most are from the Bible or are Scripture-based. Mansfield does a good job of bringing together different Scripture readings and blending them in a creative way. For example "Waves Of Healing" brings together no fewer than seven different passages. The New Testament is represented just once, with two passages from Revelation in the final track "So He Became Their Saviour". Mansfield's voice is deep and rich while the background music, though a tad generic, doesn't distract too much. There are also some sound effects - birds, rain, waves. My favourite track content-wise is "Suffering Servant" based on Isaiah 52-53, while, music-wise, I like "The Sun Of Righteousness Will Rise" for its fine guitar work.
