This 2004 release from Birmingham-based instrumentalist John Gerighty is a deliberately reflective affair which mirrors the guitarist's desire to provide believers with a collection of pieces that will enable them to be still in the presence of God. Gerighty's mellow guitar is the dominant feature and tracks such as "Stillness" and "The Waters" set the scene for an album that is as unobtrusive to one's prayer times as you could possibly get. All but four of the tracks are self-penned and the inclusion of more classically-based numbers such as Sheidler's "Romanze" and "Etude" by Fernando Tarrega offers a good contrast to Gerighty's own compositions in a worthwhile release which will hopefully aid and enhance your quiet times.
