The rapper, born and raised in Los Angeles, has released a number of singles and EPs and an album he issued in April this year with Tripple M. This five-song EP was actually released in 2016. Musically this is dirty south with Jmiah mostly taking the mic as his lyrics point towards both God and towards working hard for your dream. Jmiah makes use of various effects on the vocals throughout the project which gives him a unique flavour. It starts and ends with the two standout tracks - the bouncing "That's What I Do" on which the emcee reveals he just wants to be "who God made me" and compares this to the superficial rewards others seek, and in "Not The Same" the processed vocals of Tripple M adding to the message that we're in the world but not of the world.
