This is jazz till you drop! Joined by Lionel Hampton, Christian Fabian and Wally 'Gator' Watson, Martinez has pulled out all the stops on this largely instrumental album. It kicks in with a rocking version of "Holy, Holy, Holy" - instantly recognisable because of the strong melody line that runs through it. As the album develops, we hear everything from an amusing dialogue with Lionel Hampton (who is 93 and sounds as though he is 40), to a vocal version of "Amazing Grace". Track 10 and 13 are sung by the very talented Debi Selby, whose vocal dexterity matches the flair with which the boys play their instruments - beautiful. Martinez is responsible for the production, which is outstanding. 'Praise Him With Jazz' is a superb work for the glory of God.
