Reviewed by Jonathan Evans For me, there's an outstanding track on this cassette - "I Am Fearfully And Wonderfully Made". I had to listen to it several times it was so good! Guitar based, driving rhythm, nice bass line and a catchy tune without being too simple. As it happened, it wasn't one of the tracks that my kids (nine and seven) picked out, which illustrates the difficulties of reviewing a cassette intended for children! I have to try and listen with kids' ears, or better still, get some children to listen to it. Apart from my favourite, there are some other excellent songs here: "Salvation Is Found/Trust In The Lord" - this track consists of four lines repeated over and over with a very catchy tune and rhythm. "I'm Gonna Walk By Faith" - this one roars along like an express train with some really mean banjo playing. "I Can Do All Things" - good catchy tune, easy to sing, nice backing. "Zaccheus" is another goodie with a jazzy feel, unusual in a children's song. "Pressed Down, Shaken Together" -a song about happy givers, moves along nicely with a happy feel. "Lord I Need Your Power" is a stonker, with more driving rhythm, great organ underpinning and some good brass/sax work. The tape falls into the same mould as most children's praise tapes of recent years and does it very well, with enough good songs to make this a worthwhile buy. One observation, from the point of view of one who leads worship with children is that the songs currently available are strong on relationship with God, faith, repentance, etc, but do little to reflect a biblical concern for the world, for justice, for those outside the Church, etc. It would be great to see someone with the obvious talents of Jim Bailey turning his attention to some of these forgotten areas.
