Leeds-based Jhardine Farrell follows up 2003's 'Edify' with a new collection of original worship tracks and medleys of gospel standards, under the guiding auspices of musical director and arranger Mark Walker (also a top keyboardist). Jhardine is joined by an excellent ensemble of musicians giving 'Water And Thunder' a glossy production sheen. Uppermost in the set is mid-tempo lead single "Forevermore" with a catchy chorus of "alleluias" leading into the refrain "Praise your name forever more". She also brings energy and wit to medleys of older praise songs such as "Sing Hosanna", "Deep And Wide" and "He Lifted Me Up Up Up", as well as a powerful diva-esque take on "Were You There?" However, the greater credit should go to her self-penned worship standards, which whilst not being anything very original lyrically are certainly uplifting and inspirational. A worthy collection from a UK gospel worship talent.
