Daughter of a choir leader, Jennifer has been touring with Christafari since 2007. Listening to the album, there is no doubt of the band's influence in her music. The opener "Righteous Revolution" could easily have been a Christafari track alongside others such as "No Other Man" and "Rockin'It/Loud In The City", the latter featuring Geneman to great effect. This is not to say that Jennifer has not made the album her own. There is a great reggae version of Amy Grant's "Baby Baby" which is refreshingly different and a Marley-influenced "Seasons" which stand alongside the best out there. There is also a beautiful acoustic track "Thank You" featuring Tiago Costa. Reggae is not so well represented in the realms of Christian music, and when a musician does place his or her 'toe in the water', it can sound half hearted. This is not the case here, and this album is a strong debut indeed.
