London-based rapper Jelz (meaning Jesus Empowers Livez) is burning with a message of positivity and life in Christ. This flows throughout his music. His rapping is light but not lightweight and is ably backed with vocals by Ruth Aylward on "Warrior Cry" and the single "I've Got Something To Say" (that has been previously released); and Christine Asamoah on "Keep Fighting On". "I've Got. . ." tells the story of how Jelz dealt with the hurt of having a father who was an alcoholic and how he reached a point where God challenged him to forgive his father. Powerful stuff. The three tracks with female vocals are the strongest.
