Jeff Neafsey has a very easy on the ear voice, a liquidly mellow tenor which when used in praise of God creates a decidedly pleasant sound. He also knows quite a few musicians apparently as there is a full brass section and a violin section on this album of worship songs recorded at a studio in Denver. What really lets the project down though is weak lyric writing. Despite all the songs being based on Scripture the lyrics never rise above cliché (for example, "I Believe In You" based on Ephesians 1:4 begins from the far from memorable phrase "I love you, yes it's true") while throughout the most obvious rhymes and images continually mar these clearly sincere worship songs.
