It's so hard to review worship albums - particularly this one! You see, a good half of this release is seemingly spontaneous, and while there is nothing wrong with spontaneous worship per se, it always tends to be musically unadventurous because of its nature. When there are six or more such compositions - as there are here - I'm afraid to say that in a studio setting it doesn't really come off. On the more structured songs such as opener "Give Me One Reason" and "Freedom", Jason's freewheeling and committed style really shines out, and on some of the piano ballads he sounds eerily like Billy Joel, but I'm afraid that much of the record misses the mark.

Product Description
Jason and Rachel had just graduated from their Masters of Divinity Program at Regent University, the Lord had just closed the door to an expected ministry opportunity, they had no job, they had no place to live and they just found out Rachel was pregnant…..and 'Faith' was birthed.
'Faith' is not the greatest of gifts but rather love. But 'Faith' is the foundation for worship because you give your all to what you cannot see. 'Faith' is why Jesus could have absolutely nothing in the eyes of the world, yet possess everything in the eyes of God. In this album we see ‘Faith’ enveloping ‘waiting’ and ‘relationship’ and ‘freedom’ and ‘honesty (not being ashamed)’ to the point where, finally, one comes to the ultimate place of Faith: where he/she truly desires to be like Him. This CD was recorded live on three separate nights during times of worship and ministry.
What has been captured on this recording is what actually happened on these nights of ministry. During the live recording, Jason received the song 'Faith' spontaneously from the Spirit, thereby confirming the CD’s title.
These particular recordings were selected because they represent songs given to Jason specifically about 'Faith' and the valleys and victories that make up our 'Faith'.

I totally disagree with the review above. This album is fantastic. How can you possibly say that someones own love song to God "misses the mark" If you want to hear someones love song to the Lord then this is the album. Jason doesn't create this album for man, he created this as songs for the Lord...

This album does not miss the mark, but hits the mark dead on. A sincere heart to the Lord...
