You have to admit that Jaci Velasquez is versatile. She's done hit CCM albums, hit hot Latin albums and a hit Christmas album and now. Let's roll that all up together and have a hit hot Latin Christmas CCM album! I think she's covered all bases here. Mainly this follows the pattern of her English language Christmas album but with songs sung in Spanish. Sometimes to comic effect. "Navidad Navidad Navidad" is her big band "Let It Snow" sung in Spanish with the "Let It Snow" bit left in English! Very strange. Elsewhere "The First Noel", "White Christmas", "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and a whole load of hoary old chestnuts (including those roasting on an open fire) are re-done in Spanish without a hint of any Latino rhythms or hot beats. There's even the "bonus" of hearing Jaci duet with Alvin Chipmunk. What next? An appearance on the Muppets! Christmas with Jaci and The Muppets.expect it next year.
