Ever before the toweringly talented teenager was launched by the Nashville CCM star-making machine, Jaci was recording independent albums of Spanish language gospel and so it's fitting that the dear lass should now be riding on the unprecedented wave of popularity for all forms of Latin music (hope you've checked out the Latin Music special in the last Cross Rhythms). Here she turns in a quite superb album which has risen high in the mainstream Latin charts. If you're familiar with the senorita's English language albums you'll recognise "De Creer En Ti" ("On My Knees"), "Al Mundo Dio Amo" ("God So Loved"), "Como Una Flor" ("Flower In The Rain") and a few others - each one sounding as beautiful in Spanish as in English - but nothing will have quite prepared you for the joyful, undulating salsa of the opener "Con Tu Amor", surely one of the most infectious anthems to God heard for many a year. Almost as good is the bouncey "Manantial De Caricias". If you're looking for a way into the thrilling explosion of Latin gospel music, this is a good place to start.
