Upbeat catchy punk-influenced rock has been the mainstay of Tooth & Nail Records' artist roster for a long time. Numerous groups such as MxPx, The Juliana Theory and Anberlin have been flagship bands not just for the label but also as Christians in the wider rock scene. Unfortunately sometimes it seems like the label is just treading water. It isn't as if there is much wrong with Tesas-based Ivoryline's debut, but had you told me this was a collection of old Number One Gun tracks, vocals apart I wouldn't have found much to suggest it WASN'T recorded by Ivoryline's labelmates. If the thought of hearing another punk band like this doesn't put you off, there is quality to be found here. Each song sounds good and picking a standout track is hard - but mostly because the tracks are very similar. "Be Still And Breathe" is a perfect slab of radio friendly rock and "The Last Words" shows that the band can make music approaching mellow. However, generally there is simply no variation on the formula.
