Originally released in 2001, this comes from an era when Israel Houghton had found the perfect foil - that punchy team of worship instrumentalists New Breed - for his powerful fusion of congregational worship and black gospel fire. This anniversary edition celebrating 25 years of Integrity Music is undoubtedly one of Israel And New Breed's best recordings. Recorded live at the Cornerstone Church in Ohio, the production is top rate and the atmosphere electrifying. Particular standouts are "My Life Belongs To You" which shows the group slinkily moving through a catchy reggae groove, the powerful, bluesy song "Your Name Is Great" and "I Exalt Thee", where the soulful vocals of Keith Staten bring a gentle close to a song that exudes power and emotion. If you haven't got this seminal release already, here's a chance to rectify the omission.
