The Grammy-winning worship leader, songwriter, producer and of course recording artist presents his new album exploring the concept of removing "masks" of life that cover the real us. The 11-track album attempts to convey that God's love is available to us as we are. The first single "Reckless Love" (a cover of the Cory Asbury song) explores this in detail but there is more on offer here. The opening track "Secrets", featuring Israel's daughter Adrienne, is a simple but highly effective vocal jigsaw of the two voices, fitting together beautifully. "True", this time featuring vocal siblings The Walls Group, explores that nothing can separate us from God. Those looking for the more "traditional" Israel will not be disappointed, although they will have to wait to track three for that funky gospel vibe for which the artist has become known! Not all the tracks work as well, but there is plenty here for his fan base and maybe for new listeners as well.
